Another pot.

This one is turned out of a piece of pear and has a simple little finial on the top.

This one is in many ways quite similar to the tanga-tanga pot, albeit a little bit more ornate and delicate. The process of making it was very similar - the main difference was that instead of drilling out the inside, I cleared out the inside with a bowl gouge.

Turning the finial was a nice little challenge. I was planning on it coming to a point at the end, but it split a bit as I was removing the waste off the top, so I had to improvise a bit - but as a first attempt, I'm pleased with the result. Although in hindsight, I should have planned it out a little more in advance.
