Another bowl.

This one is a bit larger than the other bowls I have made. I had initially planned to make this one the same shape as the blue ash bowl I'd done previously, but when I got to the lathe, I had this idea of a similar shape, but then have the bowl flare out again at the top.

The turning of this one went quite well. I spent a little more time with the lathe scrapper tools I have - these are used to remove marks from the wood once you have the shape you desire - this meant a lot less time sanding the bowl to get a good finish.

I like turning bowls - but it's time to turn some other things now.
