The previous animal drawings I've shared here I've drawn using Lee J. Ames and Warren Budd excellent book Draw 50: Endangered Animals to help me.

This book gives a step by step guide of how to draw the animals, starting with the outline, and shows how he adds the details step by step. I'll write a full review of the book in the future.

After taking a bit of a break from trying these animal sketches, I thought I'd branch out from this book and try drawing a butterfly without it. I looked back at examples from the book to help me break it down. I'm mostly happy with how it came out.
